1. What these technologies are
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We also use local storage, which works similarly but keeps data on your device rather than sending it with every request. Where this policy says "cookies", it covers both, plus comparable technologies such as pixels and SDK identifiers used by our partners.
2. Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Blocking them will break sign-in and saving.
- Session and authentication tokens that keep you logged in.
- Security tokens that protect forms against cross-site request forgery.
- Load-balancing and error-handling identifiers.
3. Preferences
These remember choices you make so the library behaves the way you left it.
- Library filters, sort order and search terms.
- Your saved-prompt shortlist.
- Interface preferences such as theme and dismissed banners.
4. Analytics
Analytics cookies tell us which prompts and pages people actually use, in aggregate. We use them to prioritise content, not to profile individuals.
- Page views, referrers, approximate location by country and device type.
- Which prompts are copied most, so the leaderboard and rankings work.
5. Advertising
Advertising partners may set cookies to count impressions, cap how often you see the same ad, and measure clicks. They are independent controllers of that data and their own notices apply. We do not sell your personal information — read the Advertising & Sponsorship Disclosure for how placements work.
6. How to control cookies
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and clear site data — every major browser has controls under Privacy or Site settings.
- Turn on "Do Not Track" or a global privacy control signal; we honour it where legally required.
- Use your device's advertising ID reset or opt-out settings.
- Sign out to end your session cookies immediately.
Blocking non-essential cookies will not stop you browsing or copying prompts, but signed-in features and your saved list may not persist.
7. Changes and contact
As we add or remove partners we will update this page and the date above. Questions go to legal@promptsleeve.com, and the Privacy Policy covers the wider picture.
